OUR CBCT IMAGING SERVICES CAN HELP YOUR PRACTICE

Our Head and Neck Imaging Services

High-definition, 3-dimensional, digital imaging is here. The advanced technology of an i-CAT scan exposes your patients to reduced radiation and lower costs than traditional CT scans.

A standard exposure provides a complete head and neck analysis of all oral and maxillofacial structures. This gives the dental professional the most thorough diagnostic information for accurate treatment planning and more predictable treatment outcomes.

The volumetric data captured by the i-CAT software can easily be transmitted to third-party software for 3-D modeling. Measurements are easy to acquire and offer distortion-free information. This enhances the evaluation of bone quality and quantity, proximity to vital structures, and cortical bone location for optimal implant placement.

3-dimensional cone beam technology allows lesions to be fully explored prior to biopsy or removal. Fractured jaws are clearly detected.

The i-CAT’s ability to provide 3-dimensional images of the condyles and surrounding structures allows complete analysis and diagnosis of bone morphology and joint spaces. A standard scan is taken in maximum intercuspation to easily and clearly evaluate fully seated condyles. If desired, an additional short, high-speed scan can be captured with the mouth open to further evaluate TMJ function.

Detect restricted airways and determine appropriate treatments. 3-D data enhances airway assessment and can result in reconsideration of the treatment plan if the patient has a typical airway, versus a restricted airway, which may be susceptible to collapse.

Precisely locating the positions of supernumerary, impacted, or abnormal teeth allows complete assessment of individual patient’s anatomy. Root resorption can be clearly visualized.

Upon request, Clarkson Imaging offers interpretation of your patient’s 3-D cone beam scan by a radiologist. The referring dental professional would receive a separate report from the radiologist outlining all findings.

We also offer i-Tero and Trios Intraoral scans where we can send 3D intraoral scans/digital impressions directly to the lab of your choice.

Dental X-Ray

Traditional Pan

Traditional Panoramic relies on magnification, which can lead to a distroed image, super-imposed structures, and therefore, less accurate information.
